Frequently asked questions

We get questions from time to time about our process and more. If you can't find the answer that you're looking for below, reach out to us.

Companies are unique so valuations can't be automated
Ultimately, high quality valuations can and will be automated. After all billions of dollars of securities are traded by computers every day. Until then, every valuation follows similar, required steps, including information and data collection, assumption and model development, and report development. Automating these steps, and more, allows more time to be spent on the actual analysis and improving client outcomes.
What types of businesses do you value?
We value operating businesses. That is those generating revenue, or looking to do so, from the sale of goods or services. We do not value LLCs set up to hold non-operating assets (e.g. securities) or similar real estate holding companies.
An online solution is great but what if I have questions?
Although the vast majority of the process will be handled through our platform, a member of our team is always available to walk you through any and all steps. Either way, the process will be smoother and more efficient than the consulting heavy alternative.
What if a valuation is challenged?
Our reports are designed to provide unmatched detail into every aspect of the analysis, helping to mitigate any challenges. But in the event of a challenge by a regulator or your auditors lifetime support is standard. You will not incur additional cost. You are comming to us to obtain the highest quality, most defensible valuations available so lifetime support is standard.
What data will I need to get start?
Valuations, obviously, differ based on type and purpose so data requirements also vary. After you get your quote , you will be asked to complete our online questionnaire. You're responses will determine (dynamically) the data required for your specific valuation.
How long does it take to get a valuation?
Our system was designed to not only provide the most defensible valuations possible but also save time at every step along the way. What this means for you is that if you have a tight timeline we can deliver. Just contact us to get started, let us know you have a tight timeline in the details, and a member of our team can help to expedite your valuation by walking you through each step in the system at no additional charge.
What will the cost be?
You'll find starting prices below for several valuation types. You can simply click on your valuation need to get started on an anonymous quote. If you don't see the valuation you're looking for, send us a note with details and we'll see if we can help.
If we need a refresh valuation, what will the cost be?
Every valuation follows the same process to ensure defensibility and the best outcome for you. As a result, we don't provide reduced pricing for "refresh" valuations. If you look at our pricing below, you'll note that our pricing is highly competitive from the start.
Do you charge an additional fee for board discussions?
Our fees are fixed, fully transparent, and inclusive. That is, we include a generious amount of time (between 3 and 6 hours depending on the valuation type) for conversions with management, the board, auditors, or other parties within our fixed pricing. We've yet to come across more time than is already allocated for in our agreements.

Let's Start Calculating

The economic environment, dramatic shift in interest rates, and overall market conditions over the last year(s) calls to light a fundamental limitation of the valuation industry – the inability of most, if not all providers, to calculate key valuation inputs and assumptions internally let alone in real-time.

Updated Questionnaire is Live

After a number of iterations and extensive testing, we are excited to push new updates to our online questionnaire. These updates add additional efficiencies to our already unmatched software and further our goal of fully automating the parts of the valuation process that waste client time and money.

Equity Risk Premiums in a Dynamic Interest Rate Environment

With the rapid increase in interest rates, it's important to address how current and projected equity risk premiums are expected to be impacted in the context of valuations. It's also important to address the ability to rapidly incorporate such changes in a valuation.
